Staff Profiles
Ingrid Weland – School director and pre-school teacher. Ingrid obtained her Bachelor of
Arts degree from Purdue University with a degree in Elementary Education and specializations in early childhood and reading.
Upon graduation from Purdue she taught in Houston, Texas at a public school. A few years later she moved to Dallas, Texas
to teach Kindergarten in a very low income area. Nebraska was the next professional stop for Ingrid. She began teaching in
the public Montessori program in Omaha, NE. After a year of teaching lower elementary she returned to Houston to get her American
Montessori Society (AMS) training from the Houston Montessori Center. She continued to teach lower elementary for the next
several years and received certification from AMS in lower and upper elementary. In 2001 Ingrid took the 3-6 AMS training
at the Mid-America Montessori Teacher Training Institute. Ingrid spent the Summer of 2006 in infant and toddler training.
For the 2006-2007 school year she will teach the toddler class and complete her Infant/Toddler Certification at the end
of the year. Ingrid also has her Master of Science in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
In addition to teaching and directing the program at MCA, Ingrid also trains future Montessori teachers.
Susan Gray - Toddler Directress
Mrs. Gray is the toddler teacher and took her Montessori Infant and Toddler training in the Summer
of 2006. The American Montessori Society granted her Infant and Toddler certification in the Summer of 2007 after she completed
her internship. She holds an Associate's Degree.
Geneva Broomfield-Primary (3-6 years) Directress
Ms. Broomfield joined the MCA staff in 2008. She has an Elementary Education degree from Wayne State College. She is
a wonderful addition to the staff and particularly enjoys creative endeavors, such as writing songs, with the children.
Katie Stolinski: Primary (3-6 years) Directress
Ms. Stolinski is an American Montessori Society (AMS) certified teacher at the
3-6 age level. She took her Montessori training in the Summer of 2002. Ms. Stolinski has awesome practical life work in her
classroom. Her classroom is very inviting to everyone that visits!
Mrs. Christine Seggerman: Elementary Summer School Teacher. Mrs. Seggerman joined the MCA staff this summer. She earned
her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Morningside College.
Jessica (Irwin) McGee : Infant Room
Mrs. McGee completed her infant and toddler
training in 2008. She is currently working on her CDA at Metro College. She is a positive influence on the children in her
care as well as the staff.
